Forcecon
FORCECON is the largest gaming, on-site, live event in the US military.
Each year, different branches of the US military come together in San Antonio to compete against one another in Call of Duty. 2024 was the largest FORCECON so far, with all six of service branches attending: The Army, The Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Marines and Coast Guard.
Loadscreen is the US Airforce's dedicated partner for media and production, so naturally we were brought in to supply both the on-site broadcast and media. The event took place at the Boeing Center, requiring Loadscreen to work directly with the venue as they provided all of the physical equipment needed.
KEY GOALS & DELIVERABLES
- Create an unforgettable live experience for the players attending FORCECON. Most of these players are amateur, so giving them a taste of what it is like to be a professional is a key goal.
- Film and create content that shows how live events such as ForceCON legitimize gaming in the military.
- Provide all the equipment and staff for media on-site.
- Provide all staff and virtual infrastructure for the broadcast on-site, the Boeing Center already had most of the physical equipment needed.
